A few nuts, seeds, and chocolate = easy peasy dessert or snack when paired with some berries. You can satisfy the sweet and salty craving in one easy-to-make treat!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup of your favorite nuts, (I used sliced almonds)
1/3 cup pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds
2 T. flax seed
1 bag dark chocolate chips (at least 60%)
1 to 2 T coconut oil
sea salt - (optional)
Directions:
Mix nuts and seeds in a small bowl.
Pour into parchment lined cookie sheet, and shape into a rectangle.
3. In a microwave safe bowl, melt chocolate and coconut oil on low power for 1 minute. Stir and repeat until chocolate is fully melted.
4. Pour chocolate over nut mixture, sprinkle with salt, and pop in fridge for 10 minutes or until set.
5. Break apart into 2 to 3 inch chunks and enjoy! Store in fridge or in the freezer.
6. A little candy bar treat that tips toward the healthier side of chocolate heaven.
