Marinara and Zoodles

Zoodles, and marinara with ground turkey; an easy weeknight meal when life is busy and time in the kitchen is minimal.


2 to 4 zucchini, made into zoodles, or bought at the store

1 chopped onion

1 T. Avocado oil

1 t. minced garlic

1 pound ground turkey/ground beef

1 jar marinara sauce (low sugar)

Parmesan cheese


  • Make zoodles with spiralizer and set aside. This step can be skipped if you bought zoodles premade in the fresh produce section of grocery store.

  • In a medium sauce pan, heat oil over medium and add onion.

  • Cook onions until they begin to soften and add garlic. Cook for 2-3 mins

  • Add ground beef or ground turkey. Brown completely and drain excess fat.

  • Add marinara and meat mixture to sauce pan, and simmer.

  • In a large skillet heat 1 T. Avocado oil over medium heat, then add zoodles. Keep turning noodles until softened; roughly 4 to 5 minutes.

  • Put noodles in a bowl, top with meat sauce, and cheese.
