Zoodles, and marinara with ground turkey; an easy weeknight meal when life is busy and time in the kitchen is minimal.
2 to 4 zucchini, made into zoodles, or bought at the store
1 chopped onion
1 T. Avocado oil
1 t. minced garlic
1 pound ground turkey/ground beef
1 jar marinara sauce (low sugar)
Make zoodles with spiralizer and set aside. This step can be skipped if you bought zoodles premade in the fresh produce section of grocery store.
In a medium sauce pan, heat oil over medium and add onion.
Cook onions until they begin to soften and add garlic. Cook for 2-3 mins
Add ground beef or ground turkey. Brown completely and drain excess fat.
Add marinara and meat mixture to sauce pan, and simmer.
In a large skillet heat 1 T. Avocado oil over medium heat, then add zoodles. Keep turning noodles until softened; roughly 4 to 5 minutes.
Put noodles in a bowl, top with meat sauce, and cheese.
